There’s just something about a really hearty and flavourful red sauce. It’s definitely something that I crave! Luckily, I have been taught by the best–my Mom–and I know how to make a killer one. Luckily for you, I am going to share that recipe. This makes a big batch. Have some for dinner, and then freeze the rest. You will be very happy the next time the craving hits you; All the hard work will already be done!
There’s just something about Eggplant that I really love! Not just the delightful purple colour of the vegetable itself…but also the way that it becomes almost melt-in-your-mouth when cooked properly. This recipe calls for fresh Ginger, which really gives it a lot of kick! To do this dish properly, it’s best to use a wok.
I was hoping it was just a horrible nightmare, but it looks like the cold weather is settling in for the winter. No accumulation yet, but I’ve definitely seen some white stuff falling from the sky…I believe it’s referred to as…snow? In any case, the cold is a good excuse to create some warming meals, so I suppose it’s not all bad.
Here’s a recipe that once again makes ample use of my best buddy Cinnamon, with support from my other pal Red Pepper Flakes.
You know who eats sea kelp? Crabs!
Also…me! Bragg Sea Kelp Delight is my favourite salt-free seasoning. I sprinkle it on my salads, on my pork chops, in my tea–oh wait, scratch the last one. That’s probably the only thing I don’t put it on!
Here’s a little illustration of one of my kelp loving buddies. Thankfully I don’t have this guy sneaking into my cupboard to steal my jar, or else I’d be going through this stuff even more quickly!
I just wish it came in a larger bottle!
